Rhwng cymylau duon tywyll
  Gwelaf draw yr hyfryd wlad;
Mae fy ffydd yn llefain allan –
  Dacw o'r diwedd dŷ fy Nhad:
    Digon, digon,
  Mi anghofia 'ngwae a'm poen.

Nid oes yno gofio beiau,
  Dim ond llawn faddeuant rad;
Poenau’r Groes,
    a grym y cariad,
  A rhinweddau maith y gwaed:
    Darfu tristwch;
  Daeth llawenydd yn ei le.

Dyma'r tlawd a gyfoethogwyd,
  A'r carcharor wnaed yn rhydd,
Ddoe oedd yn y pydew obry,
  Heddiw yma'n canu sydd;
    Nid oes gennyf
  Ddim ond diolch tra fwyf byw.

  Mae fy enaid am ehedeg
  Nid oes dim erioed a welwyd

  Trwy y niwl a'r tew gymylau
  Tyred hyfryd foreu
  Wele'n dyfod ar y cwmwl (Mawr yw'r enw ...)

Between dark, black clouds
  I see yonder the delightful land;
My faith is crying out -
  There at last is my Father's house:
    Enough, enough,
  I will forget my woe and my pain.

There is no remembering of faults there,
  Only full, free forgiveness;
The pains of the Cross,
    and the force of love,
  And the vast merits of the blood:
      Sadness passed away;
  Rejoicing came in its place.

Here is the poor one who was made rich,
  And the prisoner who was set free,
Who yesterday was in the pit below,
  Who is here today singing;
    I do not have
  Anything but thanks while ever I live.

There for sin is no upbraiding,
  Nought but pardon full and free:
Nought but his deep
    love, and merit
  Shall now unforgotten be;
    Fear hath vanished,
  Joy and rapture overflow.
